Confidence can transform not only an individual’s Confidence can transform not only an individual’s life but also the lives of those around them. For Rajkumari, the training became a journey of empowerment and leadership. It gave her the confidence to travel independently, speak up for what is right, and confront injustice without fear. Places that once felt intimidating—such as police stations, courts, and government offices—are now spaces she navigates with clarity and confidence.Through the training, she developed a deeper understanding of handling cases of violence against women with sensitivity and legal awareness. As she worked with survivors, she earned the trust and recognition of women in her community, many of whom continue to reach out to her for guidance and support.Committed to empowering young women, she also focused on girls and women who had discontinued their education after Class 8 or 10. By connecting them with skill-development opportunities, she helped them build confidence, independence, and hope for the future.Today, through her work in a hostel, she regularly motivates girls on issues related to violence prevention, education, self-protection, rights, and skill development. Her efforts continue to create awareness and inspire young women to pursue education and stand up for themselves. One of her proudest achievements has been supporting women survivors in accessing justice and regaining their dignity while encouraging girls and women to become informed, confident, and empowered members of their communities.#WAYVE #ParticipantStories #WomenEmpowerment #LeadershipJourney #CommunityLeadership #SocialJustice #Empowerment #InspiringChange

Empowerment Stops at dinning table The unfinishe Empowerment Stops at dinning table The unfinished question of feminism is not whether women can enter spaces of power. It is whether power itself is willing to enter the home and reorganise the terms of everyday life. While women have entered institutions historically dominated by men, the domestic order that sustains those institutions remains remarkably unchanged. The kitchen, the dining table, and the invisible architecture of care continue to rely disproportionately on women's labour. The result is a paradox: women are expected to participate equally in the public sphere while remaining primarily responsible for the private sphere. The question is not whether women have entered public spaces. The question is whether power has entered private spaces.Who cooks? Who serves? Who clears the plates? Who eats last? She broke the glass ceiling. These students visited the work areas of WAYVE Foundations’s alumnae in the rural areas of Anand and Rajkot district in #gujarat to learn about issues related to violence against women, gender justice, and community-based interventions in rural contexts. Through field visits, conversations, and shared community spaces, the students listened, understood stories of strength, resistance, courage, and hope led by WAYVE Foundation’s five Alumnae Bhavana, Sharmila, Gauri, Geeta and Manisha. What began as an academic field engagement slowly transformed into a journey of reflection, understanding, and human connection beyond classrooms and textbooks. The experience concluded with presentations where the students brought forward not just their observations and learnings, but also the voices, realities, and lived experiences of the communities they engaged with. ✨ @deepi1709 @arpita_kujur31 RuralPracticum #TISSMumbai #SocialWork #WomenCentredPractice #WAYVEFoundation#Fieldwork #GrassrootsLearning #GenderJustice #WomenEmpowerment#CommunityEngagement #RuralIndia #VoicesFromTheField #LearningBeyondClassrooms#DalitWomen #StoriesOfResilience @gaurisingal_1 @chavdasarmila @narkar.bhavana
